WELCOME FROM THE

—PARK RIDGE BAHÁ’ÍS

A warm welcome from the Baha’i community of Park Ridge, Illinois!

The Bahá’í Faith has been an active part of religious and social life in the Chicago area since the late 1800s. We are a recognized advocate for spiritual solutions based on the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, the Messenger of God for this day.

We are privileged to live near the world’s holiest and longest-operating Bahá’í House of Worship in Wilmette, but we also serve the people of our home communities with worship meetings, children’s classes and study circles designed to assist you, your family, and American society in a spiritual search for truth. The Bahá’í community of Park Ridge is collaborating to coordinate these activities and offer them to you.

Bahá’í s here are part of a worldwide religious community united by the belief that there is one God, one human race, and one evolving religion.

The teachings of Bahá’í’u’lláh address such issues as the elimination of all prejudice with an emphasis on race unity, the equality of women and men, the spiritual education of children, the importance of family cohesion, and the establishment of world peace. With the prayers and actions of a maturing humanity guided by a loving God, these teachings empower us to unite and help build the kingdom of God on earth.

In addition to consistently supporting the development and operation of the Bahá’í House of Worship in Wilmette, this Bahá’í i community is offering worship meetings and study circles for scripture and service training; at present it supports children’s classes in nearby communities. The Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’í s of Park Ridge also cooperates in interfaith worship and service activities.
